Deadly Traffic Accident Moffett Road

Moffett Road has turned to a standstill after a horrible wreck between a pickup truck and a red motorcycle just west of I-65.

According to the Mobile Police Department, “Officers are currently working a serious traffic accident in the 3600 block of Moffett Road.

At 1:45 pm  5 out of 6 lanes were closed by police who were restricting traffic to one lane shared by both eastbound and westbound traffic.

2:05pm Police confirmed that one person is dead in the Moffett Road crash that happened Monday afternoon.

at 2:10pm area residence received a Public Safety Alert saying:

Major accident in the area of Moffett Rd and I-65. Seek alternate route until further notice. From Mobile Police Department – Traffic Safety Unit

“I was a witness. Never have seen someone get killed before. I was going west on Moffett Rd. This motor cycle came by me doing at least 60 to 70 miles per hour. And a silver truck pulled out in front of him and he hit the left front panel of the truck. The driver pulled out of RS warehouse on the right hand side of the rd. The traffic blocked her view and the man driving the motorcycle hit her full speed. My heart goes out to the family of this young man.also to the lady who was involved. Praying for all involved.”
